Clarification:
The Windsurfing Euro-Cup is an open entry event series for male and female competitors. The Windsurfing Office is coordinating the series. The regattas are organized by independent local organizers.
The number of available starting slots for an event can be limited and the entries for some events may have additional requirements. Such limitations and requirements need to be published in the Notice of Race (NoR) for the event.
All competitors have to apply for an entry. The entry can be refused by the local organizer or the Windsurfing Office. Competitors can pre register for the events by sending their entry application to the Windsurfing Office. Pre registered competitors have priority over non pre registered competitors when the number of competitors exceeds the number of starting slots. Additionally the pre registration might be necessary to benefit from socials offered by the local organizer like special travel and accommodation deals for the competitors.
The entry application has to be registered at the Windsurfing Office 2 weeks prior to the event in order to generate a valid pre entry. The entry fee has to be paid at the inscription. The exact amount is stated in the NoR.
By pre registering for a Euro-Cup a competitor accepts to be bound by the rules and regulations under which the Windsurfing Euro-Cup is organized. No formal relationship is established directly between a competitor and the Windsurfing Office apart from the pre registration itself. The Windsurfing Office is not liable for any damage resulting from an event and not responsible for any obligations of the organizers and competitors towards each other or third people.
The pre registration doesn’t substitute the formal inscription at the event. The Windsurfing Office is only collecting and forwarding the pre entries to the local organizer. The final registration for a regatta is done between the competitor and the organizer at the inscription for the regatta.
