
Windsurfing Euro-Cup
The Windsurfing Euro-Cup is the most important windsurfing competition series in Europe. It was established in 2001 and a big success right from the start. After three extremely successful seasons the Windsurfing Euro-Cup is known as the benchmark for competitive windsurfing worldwide. Every year between 200 and 300 different competitors take part in the competitions of the tour. The best competitors from all over the world have joined the series and all the top manufacturers are sending their team racers to the events.
The Windsurfing Euro-Cup is an open entry regatta series for male and female competitors. The best windsurfers from all over the world are fighting for prize money, trophies and important points for the annual ranking list. International professionals are challenging the European elite and Rookies have the chance to prove their skill by competing with the champions of the various national series. The ultimate goal for all of them is to reach the top of the ranking list and to become Euro-Cup Champion.
At the same time the Euro-Cup is a perfect entry to the international competitions. Events are located all over Europe and the equipment limitations and simple rules ensure a fair playground for all the competitors. The "stars" are using the same gear that an amateur can buy from the shelf in every windsurfing shop.
The Windsurfing Euro-Cup is coordinated by the Windsurfing Office. The separate events are organized by independent local organizers. The Windsurfing Euro-Cup is recognized by the International Windsurfing Association (IWA), the International Formula Windsurfing Class (IFWC), and the International Funboard Class (IFCA).
